We are seeking to appoint to the following posts:

 

Cover Resource Supervisor

Oakwood High School

Communicate Learning Zone (English) and MAP strategy (PSHE), 32.5 hours per week term time (including all Inset Days)

Salary Band E, actual pro rata salary £14,662

The candidate will provide cover supervision for pupil lessons to ensure they can continue to learn and access learning resources in the absence of teaching staff; this will include the development and maintenance of resources under the direction of learning zone staff.   The candidate will be assigned to the COMMUNICATE Learning Zone (which delivers English, English Literature and Modern Foreign Languages), and the MAP strategy (which delivers PSHE) but may be required to cover other subject areas as needed.  

 

When not in cover lessons the successful candidate will provide administrative support for the Learning Zone and for whole school careers activities and events. 

 

Candidates will have the skills required to work with pupils and as a member of a team and will have as a minimum GCSE A* - C in English, Maths and Science and have strong administrative skills.  In addition we would prefer a candidate who is educated to degree level in a relevant subject.  Candidates must also be able to evidence their ability to work with pupils and to provide an effective learning experience and environment. 

 
Candidates will be truly committed to supporting pupils to progress and achieve, have high aspirations for the pupils' success and will contribute to ongoing planning with imaginative and dynamic ideas.  To enhance pupils' learning and create independence, all pupils and staff are provided with an electronic device.

Spanish Speaking Language Tutor – this part-time post is tenable from 1st October 2018 until 31st May 2019 for 7 hours per week during college term times only.  Salary is based on NSP1 £26,604 (which is pro rata monthly salary of £478 per month).

This post is to work alongside the Spanish teacher in supporting students on an individual, class or small group basis to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching and to help raise standards of achievement for all students.  The focus is on spoken Spanish.

In addition to the advertised 7 hours per week there may be an opportunity for a suitable candidate to deliver additional Spanish evening classes.

Evening Class Language Tutors – Spanish. 
Job ref: LANTUTSP01. The rate of pay is £22.38 per hour including holiday pay.

We are currently looking for language tutors who can teach Spanish up to Advanced Level. We offer Spanish courses to Beginners, Improvers, Intermediate and Advanced learners and the successful applicants could be teaching one or more of these courses from September 2018. 

A degree or equivalent in the subject offered is essential as well as successful teaching experience (specifically, teaching 16-18 learners and/or adults). Energy, enthusiasm and effective team working skills are also essential requirements for all these positions.   This post is available subject to sufficient students enrolling on each course.

We are also looking to develop courses in other European languages and welcome applications from Italian and French tutors.  This is an opportunity to join our register of part-time Adult Evening Class Tutors and to become part of a thriving and supportive team.
